Meetings

Securing a Server

This week, we aimed to make a big milestone toward project completion by securing a server to run the code on as well as resolve some problems encountered in the data. We first met with Nirmal to discuss and he went to talk to campus IT and we were told this was not something that was possible. This is a major roadblock for our project and so we will need to course correct to finish something by the end of the quarter.

Database Management

We met with the CTO of Transact to ask various question about how the database works. We had an extended conversation and both reached the conclution that we didnt know enough:

  1. How often is data update on the database?
  2. What is the signifigence of purchases tagged as ‘COMMENT’?
  3. Are there agregation filters in the delta sharing protocol?

We hope to hear back soon from him on these questions.
